Roundup Cancer Lawsuit
Were you or a loved one diagnosed with a serious illness such as Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma or Leukemia from exposure to Roundup? Fill out the form above or call us at (866) 517-7979 to see if you qualify to file a Roundup lawsuit against Monsanto Roundup manufacturers. Victims of the country’s most popular weed killer have been diagnosed with this type of cancer after exposure to Roundup’s main ingredient glyphosate.
By the time Bayer bought Monsanto in 2018, thousands of lawsuits linking Roundup to the development of a form of cancer known as non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma had been filed in courts nationwide. (The business entity known as “Monsanto” no longer exists, though the name appears to live on in court filings related to Roundup litigation.)
That same year, in the first of these cases to go to trial, a California jury found in favor of Dewayne Johnson, a 46-year-old groundskeeper who worked at a number of California schools. Johnson argued that he developed non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after using Roundup on the job, and alleged a scientific connection between the product and the illness. Bayer/Monsanto was ordered to pay $289 million in damages.
Soon, two more Roundup lawsuits also ended in big wins for the plaintiffs-In May 2019, a California jury ordered Bayer to pay $2 billion in punitive damages in a lawsuit filed by a couple who both developed non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after using Roundup for over 30 years. The couple was also awarded another $55 million in compensatory damages. A few months later, this massive award was reduced to $86.7 million after the judge concluded that the original judgment was significantly out of step with legal precedent.
Then, in March 2019, a jury awarded $80 million (including $75 million in punitive damages, later cut to $20 million) to a plaintiff who had used Roundup in his yard for over 25 years before developing non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. (In May 2021, a federal appeals court ruled that the judge had properly allowed the case to proceed to trial over Bayer/Monsanto’s objections; the appeals court also upheld the reduced award.)
Monsanto didn’t want you to know that its product causes cancer. Recently uncovered information indicates Monsanto has been covering up the truth for over 30 years, even conspiring with top-level EPA members and ghostwriting “scientific” articles to dispute scientific studies that dared label Roundup’s main ingredient a carcinogen.
The California judge overseeing a current lawsuit against Roundup denied Monsanto’s requests to seal documents in March 2017. The judge further elaborated that the documents released to the public under the Freedom of Information Act must contain a real trade secret or security conflict to be sealed and that a “potential embarrassment to Monsanto (or to Jess Rowland) is not enough.”

Food Crops Treated with High Levels of Roundup/Glyphosate
According to data highlighted below by Environmental Sciences Europe, soybean and corn are the crops most often treated with Glyphosate on farms in the United States. Wheat seems to be low on the list until you take a closer look, and realize that wheat is broken down into three subtypes. When the subtypes are combined, wheat comes in just under corn at number four.

How Does Roundup Work?
Roundup’s active ingredient is glyphosate, an herbicide and popular weed killer used to kill a wide range of invasive plants. Glyphosate inhibits the presence of EPSP synthase, an enzyme that most (non GMO) plants need in order to grow. Without EPSP, the targeted plants cannot produce other proteins they need in order to live. As a result, they die within a few days or weeks. Nearly all plants need EPSP synthase to survive and will die without it.
Why is Roundup Dangerous?
Roundup is dangerous because it causes serious health complications. Health problems that may occur from exposure to Roundup include cancer, kidney and liver disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, autism, neurological disorders like Parkinson’s disease, inflammatory bowel disease, depression, and much more.
The active ingredient in Roundup is glyphosate, an endocrine disruptor and probable carcinogen according to a 2015 study published by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). By contrast, the EPA changed the status of glyphosate from a chemical “possible” of causing cancer to one that does not in 1989.
The decision to declassify glyphosate as a possible carcinogen in the United States led to widespread use of the chemical not only in RoundUp as a weed killer for landscaping, but also as an herbicide for agricultural crops farmed for human consumption. Millions of American men, women, and children have ingested glyphosate. Even unborn children have succumbed to developmental issues after it crossed the placental barrier during gestation.
Roundup Cancer Lawsuit Attorneys.
Monsanto remains steadfast in its assertion that Roundup is not a human carcinogen, but there is a growing amount of scientific evidence that suggests otherwise. If it is found that Monsanto knowingly withheld information regarding the health risks of glyphosate, the company could be forced to pay millions of dollars in damages.
